While our team of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts management leaders have begun to create a plan of action to bring our resorts back to successful and exemplary operation as quickly as possible, we want to keep you in touch with each other by sharing memories or favorite moments at one of our resorts. Whether you recall vacationing with family at Beachview Cottages, or relaxing at the beach with your friends at ‘Tween Waters Island Resort, this is a space for you to recall those moments with each other: a place to share your story.

My husband first surprised me with a trip to tween waters for my 40th birthday. It was a first time for both of us to visit there. We loved it so much that we have come back several times with our children. We are now empty-nesters and it was our goal to return within the next year just the two of us again. It is STILL our goal. That place feels like home to us. It’s a little slice of heaven and we are so grateful to the staff and the history of your resort. We love you and we pray for you, we only wish we lived closer to help you rebuild such a special place.

Our first visit was for our Babymoon in the summer of 2015. Now we come back every summer as a family. Our dog Tater Tot loves Tween Waters too! We can’t wait to come back! Plaza Party of Five will be back!

This was our first out of state vacation as a family of 4 with our 4 year old son and 1 year old daughter. We stayed in the cutest cottage at Castaways right on the beach a few weeks before the world went crazy with the COVID 19 pandemic. We spent our days collecting shells and swimming in the pool, it was so relaxing and we made such good memories. A week before the hurricane, I made a photo book of our Sanibel trip for my husband’s birthday and it was like reliving the vacation all over again. So sad to see the devastation to this beautiful place, wishing you all the best and can’t wait to return someday!

We have spent many years visiting and our latest was my granddaughters first time to the beach. We always had a great time and Gael e recommended Castaways to my friends who also visit. I wish you the best and can’t wait to visit again.

My family and I love coming to your cottages. We bring the kids, cousins and grandmas. We bring all of the beach toys, tent and literally live on the beach while there! It’s what brought us back together during and after the pandemic. Beautiful memories made there!

For 10+ years I visited my sisters on Sanibel (she always rented a house in February and March). We would walk on the beach every morning and sometimes walk through Beachview Cottages back to the road. Every time I would say, I am going to stay here one day. Finally my husband and I retired and decided this was the year. We stayed in cottage 18 for two weeks in 2022 and had it booked for February of 2023. We also talked friends into renting the cottage next door. It was the greatest trip we have taken. So relaxing and the people who worked and visited there were the best. I am praying the cottages can be rebuilt to that amazing charm and we can get our weeks back to visit every year!!

2012 was our first visit to the island and we instantly fell in love. It was the most relaxing vacation we have taken as a family. Our children now 24 and 20 were just 14 and 10 at the time. We have visited other gulf beaches but nothing compared to the beauty and friendliness of Sanibel/Captiva.
Pictures “catching the sunset” from the causeway and our cottage so close we didn’t even need to take towels or sunscreen on the beach. We could run back as needed.
The devastation has broken our hearts for the people of Sanibel and Florida. We will return to celebrate the rebuilding of this beautiful island.

It was 1996… Our very first visit to Sanibel Island 
Castaways! My husband was walking through very serious health challenge and not certain we could make the trip, but our pastor gave us his blessing. and his parents joined us! We Spent spring every year since never missed a year! Except for 2020 pandemic! Our son had planned his wedding but travel was canceled that March pandemic! we always keep in touch and are praying during difficult challenging weather seasons. We continued in prayer this year and when I called this year lines were shut down. We are booked and planning to return in March 2023 praise God amen! We love you all and special love to Ellen and Chris and the team at Castaways!
