We got married on the beach at Tween on 11/11/11. We have brought our girls on vacation here ever since. I started coming to Sanibel and Captiva when I was a kid and feel so lucky to share this incredibly special community and place with my husband and our girls. We had a trip planned in November for our 11th anniversary. While travel plans will have to change, we are committed to helping in the rebuilding process however we can. We will be back the 1st chance we get. -The Peeters Family

We had our Sunrise wedding at ‘Tween Waters on July 30, 2012 – we just celebrated our 10th anniversary! The end of July on Captiva is WONDERFUL! We love the hot days, the still hot nights with the rain in the afternoon! Since we had our wedding at 7:30 in the morning, we had all day to enjoy the pool, the beach and I don’t think it actually rained all day!! It was so beautiful. Also, my parents and my husband Matt’s mom and dad wanted to get us a bouquet but there was no where really to get one. The staff went around the resort and picked flowers – birds of paradise, hibiscus – so many gorgeous ones – and MADE us a bouquet that was in our room when we ended the day together! My favorite time to go to ‘Tween Waters is still the end of July!

We got married at the West Wind Inn in 2010. We have been back several times with our children and still love it very much. We’ll be back as soon as Sanibel is back open for visitors.

We stayed at Castaways twice and were due to stay there again this coming November 1st. Our dream was to stay on one of the cottages on the beach side, but weren’t ever able to get a reservation!
We discovered Castaways after visiting Sanibel two other times and staying in mid island. Blind Pass is our FAVORITE beach and the BEST shelling spot on the island. My husband loved just being able to walk across the road to the beach. I loved the shells and fishing just past the bridge to Captiva.
I’m a photographer so being able to have access to all this beauty without getting in the car was amazing. We loved the cozy feel, ease of getting to where we wanted to go, and being on our favorite part of the island. The Lazy Flamingo was a good food spot but we enjoyed cooking in our room as well. Hopefully one day we’ll be able to come back to Blind Pass and walk from your property to the beach.

Travelled there with my girlfriend in February of 2022 and left there engaged. The whole experience was a total blessing and could not have been more amazing!

Castaways has been our absolute favorite for many years. Having your own pet-friendly cottage directly on the Gulf was a huge draw for us. We loved the quiet of Blind Pass compared to the “east end” of Sanibel. The ability to have a day pass for Tween Waters pool and bar was an added bonus. We hope and pray that Castaways will return in some shape or form…. Xoxoxo. #Sanibelstrong

It is our home away from home where we have chosen to spend time for the last 12 years. Made friends with our cottage neighbors and staff. Our son and daughter-in-law were married in their beach at sunset. We love every thing about tween water and captiva.
