Guest Ambassador Assistance Program
On behalf of all of our team members, we sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we’ve received over the past several days in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Thankfully, everyone is safe, secure and accounted for. We have created a GoFundMe with 100% of the proceeds to benefit employees in need of financial assistance.
Stories You’ve Shared!

My family and I have been coming to Sanibel and Captiva since I have been in middle school. There is no other place like it in the world. Our last trip was one of our most memorable as we came with my mom, my Fiancé and myself the weekend before Ian. On Friday, we made our way onto the island and picked our wedding venue for next fall. We spent a magical weekend enjoying the views, the water, the sunsets and the local people and planning ahead for our special day in paradise. Funny story is, we ended up choosing the beach front cottage, #6, because my mother said you never know what could happen tomorrow, let’s stay on the beach, as it was one of her dreams to stay in one of the beachfront cottages at Castaways. Boy, am I glad we did for the memories we have will last forever and luckily I took plenty of pictures of our paradise. I don’t know what we can do but we would love to help in any way we can. Unfortunately, we got the call this weekend saying that our venue was cancelling all weddings for 2023. So here’s to starting over and rebuilding! Sanibel and Captiva will always have a special place in our heart and if I can manage to hold my fiancé off, maybe we will be able to get married one day in paradise when it is all back together. Thank you for all the memories!

In March 2019 my then 20 year old daughter underwent bilateral bypass brain surgery (EDAS). In September 2019 she went for her 6-month follow-up. Her surgeries were successful and she was showing new blood vessels! We decided to celebrate. She chose Tween Waters to go and relax and celebrate. These are two pictures from then. One shows her favorite drink (Piña Colada) and the other is her and her dad parasailing. Thank you Tween Waters for helping us celebrate such an emotional time for our family.

We were married at the Sanibel lighthouse in July 2013 and had our reception at ‘Tween Waters. We were so lucky to be able to spend time with those nearest & dearest to us at a beautiful resort before and after our wedding. In fact, it made such an impression that my mom & stepdad were married there in July 2014 and my sister-in-law were married there just this past August. Even with family locally, we stay at Tweens. It’s a special place to us, our family, & our friends. We look forward to visiting each year.

We have been coming to Castaways for over 10 years. Our little slice of heaven and respite during every holiday for the 2 years of COVID. One of the only resorts that was dog-friendly where we could bring Buddy the Schnauzer. We will be back as soon as they are ready for us.

My husband was born and raised in Fort Myers and was lucky enough to have lived on Sanibel during his childhood. When we started dating in 2012 he brought me to stay at Tween for my first visit to Sanibel and Captiva. I fell in love with him and the islands on that trip and we’ve stayed at Tween many times since.
We were married at Casa Ybel in 2016 and bought a home in Fort Myers Beach in 2018 so we could visit whenever we wanted. We were at that beach home during Ian and luckily our home is still standing. We will help this community rebuild along with us. We love these islands. We can’t wait to see you again, Tween Waters!

9/30/15 George and I had our 15th Wedding Anniversary there by renewing our vows. We vacationed there before that and after with kids. George has since passed away 6/29 /22 at only 58 years.

We have been going to West Wind Inn every two years for about 10 years now and we do look forward to getting back there again. Stay strong Sanibel and West Wind Inn!

Oh where do I begin. We have been traveling to the resort since 2014. We have had so many memories on the beach and at the resort. Our favorite building is the Gumbo limbo. The views are absolutely gorgeous all through the resort. The staff are amazing, especially when George worked there as the guest assistant, in which Nicholas now does an amazing job! 2017 our stay consisted of celebrating my sisters birthday, along with my engagement! My husband proposed there on the beach in front of Tween Waters. We then came back this Past August 2022 with our newest member of the family. Tween waters is a home away from home for us. We have shared so many memories at the resort and on the very beach there. We love everything about Captiva Island and Tween Waters!
