Over a year and a hurricane in the making, Shipyard Restaurant is the first of two new destination restaurants ‘Tween Waters Captiva will open in 2023.
A new and exciting menu has been imagined for Shipyard by Executive Chef John Feagans. A highly creative array of appetizers, salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, tacos — as well as both land and sea entrees — is every foodie’s dream come true. Complementing this exceptional cuisine is an outstanding libations menu, complete with signature cocktails, a private label Shipyard branded whiskey, plus Captiva Blonde on tap, the official beer of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts.
Shipyard’s décor draws from Captiva and Sanibel’s rich nautical history and breathtaking Gulf-front location. Its theme is a tribute to the bygone days of Florida’s fishing and boating legacy, beckoning to the cherished past and the promising future, offering delightful experiences and exquisite feasts to all who venture in. Atop it all, the Crow’s Nest Steakhouse (coming soon) stands tall, providing an unrivaled vantage point to witness the amazing sunsets over the renowned Gulf of Mexico. Shipyard will serve:
· Breakfast, 7.30 am – 11 am
· Lunch, 11.30 am – 2 pm
· Lite Bites, 2 pm – 5 pm
· Dinner, 5 pm – 10 pm
The public is welcome anytime, as no reservations are required.
“I’m amazed at the outstanding performance and professionalism of our many teams to make Shipyard Restaurant a reality, given what we’ve all been through since the end of September,” says Doug Babcock, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts. “’Tween Waters remains, even after seven months, the only full-service resort on the islands, and the fact that we’re evolving our offerings to provide even better guest experiences makes me very, very proud. We hope you join us soon!”
